Well it is official Whoopi is taking over the lead seat on The View.
Former View co-host Rosie O’Donnell told The Insider “Whoopi is fantastic in every way and perfect for the job. She’s amazing and one of my favorites.”
"I loved working with Whoopi Goldberg," Hasselbeck told People magazine. "She is soulful, has a world of experience to bring to the table, and I don't sense any sort of political agenda."

It's about damn time they got someone to replace Starr Jones - which by the way just "had" to come to terms with her gastric bypass surgery. Yes, can you say bobble-head look-alike? Talk about unporportioned! Whoopie and Co. are sure to bring great ratings with more viewers, but Rosie did her job - let's not forget her.
Rosie did her job... now let's see what Whoopi's got! I'm sure The View will continue to be great. Who will miss that bobble-head look-alike Star Jones anyway? "Having" to come to terms with the public about her gastric bypass just proves she didn't have it in her to be in the show; her "View" was a blurry one.
