The L Word Coming To A Close

Showtime has renewed The L Word for a sixth and final season, which will make it one of the premium network's longest-running series.

Creator/executive producer Ilene Chaiken, who created the series with Kathy Greenberg and Michele Abbott, said the show will live on, interactively.

"This is by no means the end of 'The L Word,"' she said. "The brand and the social network community, OurChart.com, will continue to live and be a destination for lesbians everywhere and a lasting tribute to what 'The L Word' has accomplished."

Does that mean I can interactively have sex with Shane?

Paris Hilton Is A LESBIAN!

Paris Hilton is a Lesbian, or at least she might be when she appears on the L Word this season.

She talked about it in the most recent interview with Parade magazine. " It’s true. I have no idea what kind of character I’ll be playing, but it’s a good show."

Well, I guess that explains why she's been hanging out with L crowd these last few weeks. She's been researching how the ladies do it. Wonder how long for the release of the sex tape "One Night In Lesbos!"

Paris Hilton decided to put on a bad black wig and hang out at Showtime's L Word premier party with the hot one herself SHANE (also known as Katherine Moennig)

Queerity.com reports:

The hotel heiress was dressed in a black and tan minidress, black stockings and pumps, and she wore a black bob wig and hat.

She quickly squeezed herself into the middle of a banquette with Moennig and about eight other women and a couple of guys. Hilton and Moennig whispered to each other, wrapped their arms around each other, did shots, smoked cigarettes and took photos.

At one point, Ms. Hilton hiked her dress up to her waist and lifted her right leg into the air. She also changed hats, ditching the black one for a gray woolly number. And of course, Hilton entertained the crowd with some of her trademark dancing atop the banquette.

At about 10 p.m., Hilton and Moennig took off for lesbian night at the Falcon restaurant and lounge on Sunset Bolevard. “Paris and Kate are here holding hands,” an eyewitness emailed me at about 11:30 p.m.

Well in her defense if I was straight I'd go to any length to bed Shane too.

I have to admit it, I like the L Word. The story arc isn't always the best but I gotta support any TV show that has lesbians let alone lesbians in sex scenes. Thank You Cable!

But I LOVE SHANE. shane, shane, shane..oh how I think of you. In reality I'd like you to gain about 20lbs and butch it up a little more. But even without all that you woo me with your voice and those eyes....DAMN! I wouldn't even have to be the bottom...or is shane a bottom...is she even really gay or not?

If that’s not enough, before Moennig played gay, she played male (as Jake Pratt in Young Americans) and transsexual (Law and Order).

Rumors to Support: In 2005, the New York Post’s Page Sex reported Moennig and Portia de Rossi’s ex-girlfriend Francesca Gregorini ’canoodling’ at a party "in full view of guests". In 2006, L Word co-star Jennifer Beals lumped Kate in with a list of women she consults when she needs help ’playing a lesbian’. All of the other women she mentioned, Leisha Hailey, Illene Chaiken & Rose Troche are out lesbians.

On the Contrary: Kate has steadfastly refused to discuss her sexual orientation, though as we all know, that really doesn’t help people think you’re straight. Moennig has never been linked to a long-term relationship with another woman. But then again, she hasn’t been linked to one with a man either.

Likelihood She’s Gay: Nine out of Ten - Moennig ranks right up there with Jodie Foster for women who are just so gay-it really seems even pointless to keep it under wraps any longer.

Movie producer Nina Jacobson said "It was certainly an acceptable choice to be closeted then (90's). Now, in Hollywood, it would be a little pathetic. You would only look afraid."
