The L Word Coming To A Close
Showtime has renewed The L Word for a sixth and final season, which will make it one of the premium network's longest-running series.
Creator/executive producer Ilene Chaiken, who created the series with Kathy Greenberg and Michele Abbott, said the show will live on, interactively.
"This is by no means the end of 'The L Word,"' she said. "The brand and the social network community, OurChart.com, will continue to live and be a destination for lesbians everywhere and a lasting tribute to what 'The L Word' has accomplished."

Buffy The Dyke Slayer
OMG! Buffy just slept with a girl! In a new issue (#12) of the Buffy the Vampire Slayer (Season Eight) comic book series, Buffy sleeps with a fellow vampire slayer, who just happens to be a woman.
In this issue, Buffy and the female slayer (not Faith) are in bed and naked under the sheets and Buffy has the OMG moment.
Joss Whedon spoke about the issue with the New York Times “We’re not going to make her gay, nor are we going to take the next 50 issues explaining that she’s not. She’s young and experimenting, and did I mention open-minded? You do have to be careful about the message you’re sending out. It’s a double-edged sword. You have to be responsible, but you also have to be irresponsible or you’re not telling the best stories.”

Ellen Likes Pet Food!
Ellen is teaming up with pet food company, Halo. In a interview with Parade.com Ellen talkes about the deal.I'm told, on good authority, that even humans can eat Halo.
"Ours is all human grade. It's all natural. And yes, you can eat it," says DeGeneres. "People love their animals so much so that they put little clothes on them and necklaces and booties and things like that. And if you love your animal, then you should feed them something that's not dangerous for them. There's a lot of poisonous stuff that they’re putting in a lot of that food, those by-products."

Drew Giving Away $1 Million
Drew Barrymore is donating $1 million to charity.Drew gave the gift on Monday to the World Food Programme and the funds have been earmarked to feed thousands of schoolchildren in Kenya.

Now & Then Star Ashleigh Aston Moore - RIP
Do you remember Ashleigh Aston Moore mostly known for the Movie Now & Then staring Christina Ricci, Thora Birch, Rosie O'Donnell, Demi Moore?Ashleigh died of a accidental heroin overdose in Vancouver on Monday December 10, 2007. She was 26 years old and apparently a Lesbian.

Making Babies Without Sperm
Telegraph.co.uk is reporting that sperm cells have been created from a female human embryo in a remarkable breakthrough that suggests it may be possible for lesbian couples to have their own biological children. The University of Newcastle team that has achieved the feat is now applying for permission to turn the bone marrow of a woman into sperm which, if successful, would make the method more practical than with embryonic cells.
