Sex In The City star Cynthia Nixon has started talking more openly to the press about her lesbian life. Now if she could just talk more openly about her love of the Butches....yummy!!

It’s funny, when I announced and said, “Yes I’m dating a woman,” it freaked people out a lot. I think people have a hard time separating us from our characters. So people were like, “Miranda is GAY!???” And there were all these crazy things I would read in the paper, like “…but Miranda kissed a girl and she didn’t like it. And Samantha’ s had a lesbian lover, shouldn’t she be the one?”

And another freaky thing was because our characters are seen as so iconic, it was also viewed as maybe like, “Hmmm, is this is a trend?” Like, maybe this is what happens to these women, who are out there and date a lot of men. Eventually they start dating women, that what happens. This is where Sex and the City takes you! Miranda dated too many men and, well, whatta you know?

“I’m in a fantastic relationship. It’s been about four years, I’m in love with [Christine] because she’s her. If she were a man, would I be in love with her? I don’t know. We shop and cook and raise children - we both pitch in.”…Nixon says her children adapted well to the new arrangement. “They were fine,” she says of the coming out. “My son was very little [when it happened], but my daughter has a gay uncle [and her godmothers] are lesbians.”

Jodie Foster Stalker Arrested

Jodie Foster's stalker was arrested Tuesday on charges of mailing a bomb threat to a southern California airport, reports Reuters.

Michael Smegal is accused of mailing the threatening letter to the Van Nuys Airport in early December. According to an affidavit, the letter in question was one of more than 100 similar letters sent to various celebrities, business executives, airports and other locations around Los Angeles from September 2007 to January 2008.

The affidavit goes on to say that in 2004, Foster herself began receiving anonymous letters from Massachusetts, and that in 2005, Smegal told police he was behind them and promised to stop.

Lesbian Potter

I know this is not official lesbian news but it might as well be.

Warner Bros. and producers of the Potter films have officially announced their decision to make the seven books into eight movies.

Producer David Heyman said that the final two films will retain the 'The Deathly Hollows' title with the distinction of Part I (due out Nov. 2010) and Part II (expected in May 2011) tacked on.

The L Word Coming To A Close

Showtime has renewed The L Word for a sixth and final season, which will make it one of the premium network's longest-running series.

Creator/executive producer Ilene Chaiken, who created the series with Kathy Greenberg and Michele Abbott, said the show will live on, interactively.

"This is by no means the end of 'The L Word,"' she said. "The brand and the social network community, OurChart.com, will continue to live and be a destination for lesbians everywhere and a lasting tribute to what 'The L Word' has accomplished."

OMG! Buffy just slept with a girl!

In a new issue (#12) of the Buffy the Vampire Slayer (Season Eight) comic book series, Buffy sleeps with a fellow vampire slayer, who just happens to be a woman.

In this issue, Buffy and the female slayer (not Faith) are in bed and naked under the sheets and Buffy has the OMG moment.

Joss Whedon spoke about the issue with the New York Times “We’re not going to make her gay, nor are we going to take the next 50 issues explaining that she’s not. She’s young and experimenting, and did I mention open-minded? You do have to be careful about the message you’re sending out. It’s a double-edged sword. You have to be responsible, but you also have to be irresponsible or you’re not telling the best stories.”

Ellen is teaming up with pet food company, Halo. In a interview with Parade.com Ellen talkes about the deal.

I'm told, on good authority, that even humans can eat Halo.
"Ours is all human grade. It's all natural. And yes, you can eat it," says DeGeneres. "People love their animals so much so that they put little clothes on them and necklaces and booties and things like that. And if you love your animal, then you should feed them something that's not dangerous for them. There's a lot of poisonous stuff that they’re putting in a lot of that food, those by-products."

If you were a politician, what would your pet policy be?
When asked if Ellen were to be a politician, what would be her pet policy, she responded, "My pet policy would be to love them and give them as much respect as you would give any living thing and treat them kindly. They’re innocent little souls that are filled with unconditional love. And we should give them the same."

Drew Giving Away $1 Million

Drew Barrymore is donating $1 million to charity.

Drew gave the gift on Monday to the World Food Programme and the funds have been earmarked to feed thousands of schoolchildren in Kenya.

"I have seen with my own eyes what a difference a simple cup of nutritious porridge can make in a child's life, It helps them learn, stay healthy and sets them on track for a bright future. I urge everyone — everywhere — to help WFP 'Fill the Cup' for hungry children, and make hunger history."
