Making Babies Without Sperm
Telegraph.co.uk is reporting that sperm cells have been created from a female human embryo in a remarkable breakthrough that suggests it may be possible for lesbian couples to have their own biological children.
The University of Newcastle team that has achieved the feat is now applying for permission to turn the bone marrow of a woman into sperm which, if successful, would make the method more practical than with embryonic cells.

Oscar Apologizes To Whoppi
Whoopi Goldberg's omission from an Oscar montage was "an absolute oversight," the award show's producer tells People Magazine.
"No harm was intended, and I feel very, very badly that she was left out," Gil Cates said Tuesday.
Although described as a montage of hosts, the piece shown at Sunday night's telecast on ABC was actually "supposed to be a montage of 80 exciting moments of the Academy Awards" culled from hundreds of hours of footage, says Cates. "Basically, that was not a montage about hosts."
He noted that former host Steve Martin also wasn't in the montage.
Whoopi accepted his apology this morning on The View, check out the clip below.

The lead single, 4 Minutes To Save The World featuring Justin Timberlake will hit radio in March.

PerezHilton.com is reporting that Elton John was livid that Madonna decided to throw a last minute Oscar party. With Vanity Fair canceling their annual soiree, usually the must attendsoiree, Elton's bash was poised to be THE party of the Academy Awards this year. Lindsay Thinks She Is Marilyn Monroe NAKED!
Lindsay Lohan posed nude for a photo shoot with legendary photographer Bert Stern. Bert recreated an iconic photo shoot he did with Marilyn Monroe 46 years ago for New York magazine.
Stern photographed Monroe in 1962 at the Hotel Bel-Air in California, six weeks before she was found dead from an overdose of barbiturates. Those images for Vogue magazine feature Monroe in next to nothing, posing nude with some scarves and jewelry as her accessories and sipping champagne.
Stern recreated those images with Lohan this month, at the same hotel, with Lohan wearing a blond wig and not much else.

Kennel Owner Refuses To Sell To Lesbians!
(CNN) -- A Swedish appeals court has fined a kennel owner $3,100 (20,000 kronor) for refusing to sell a puppy to a woman because she is a lesbian.
The 51-year-old kennel owner told the woman she did not trust homosexuals and had read that transvestites sexually abused animals.
The woman contacted the kennel, located in a suburb of the capital city Stockholm, inquiring about a puppy advertised for sale.
The woman told the kennel owner she and her partner would have plenty of time to care for the dog since both were students. But when she let slip she was a lesbian, the kennel owner -- who is also a woman -- put an end to the sale.
Who is better to pets than Lesbians? Duh, no one! Stupid lady!

Israel Allows Gay Adoptions!
The Israeli government announced Tuesday gay and lesbian couples in Israel will be allowed the same adoption rights as heterosexual couples.
Welfare Minister Isaac Herzog said in a press release."I welcome the decision, there is no reason same-sex couples who meet the criteria for adoption should not be able to join the process of adoption and of parenthood. We must adapt to the spirit of the times and the changes that are afoot."

Rosie made a statement after telling one fan she'd shed pounds by giving up beer.
That prompted another to ask, "So, Rosie, alcoholic or not? Just spit it out! Don't go all Star Jones on us here. What led to you stopping the beer?"
Rosie posted back: "'Cause I was drinking too much, 'cause I didn't want to any more, 'cause it is hard to lose weight when drinking, 'cause I can never have only one."
Swearing off the sauce is "not easy," she added, "but I feel better."

Sharon Stone's Lesbian Plan
Sharon Stone has a lesbian plan. Well it is a plan where she gets to have sex with a masculine lady and we are all in support of that.
The Hollywood beauty is sick of men who "act like women" and claims she would rather be romanced by a "masculine" lady.
Sharon says in a recient interview claimed: "Everybody is bisexual to an extent. Now men act like women and it is difficult to have a relationship because I like men in that old-fashioned way. I like masculinity and, in truth, only women do that now."
"If you go on a date with a woman they call and say, 'I'm going to pick you up at seven.' They take you somewhere great and you can dress like a chick."
In 2006, Sharon revealed lesbian sex scenes had been cut from her movie 'Basic Instinct 2' because they were "too hot" .
She said: "We shot a ménage à trois scene and the girl was really beautiful and hot, this amazing French actress and the ratings board made us take it out. I guess it was too hot."

After his estranged father is murdered, the deadly sexy Fox recruits him into the Fraternity, a secret society that trains Wes to avenge his father's death by unlocking his dormant powers. As she teaches him how to develop lightning-quick reflexes and phenomenal agility, Wes discovers this team lives by an ancient, unbreakable code: carry out the death orders given by fate itself. With wickedly brilliant tutor - including the fraternity's enigmatic leader, Sloan - Wes grows to enjoy all the strength he ever wanted. But slowly, he begins to realize there is more to his dangerous associates than meets the eye. And as he wavers between newfound heroism and vengeance, Wes will come to learn what no one can ever teach him: he alone controls his destiny.

Hillary Clinton: A Message To LGBT Americans
I'm still undecided, but at least Hillary is talking to us, or as she likes to say "Starting A Dialog".
As I have traveled around the country these past twelve months, what I sensed in my heart has been confirmed – America is embracing its LGBT sons and daughters with an acceptance and understanding as never before. On the campaign trail, a father of a gay son will ask about ending Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell. A woman will ask why she can be discriminated against just because of who she is. Sometimes they wait furtively for the crowd to thin and then whisper their confidences in a soft voice and sometimes they stand up proudly at town meetings and want me to share my views on how I will help lead the change to assure that this country fulfills its promise to everyone.
Let me tell you what I have been telling voters across America. I am fully committed to the fair and equal treatment of LGBT Americans. For seven long years, the Bush Administration has tried to divide us - only seeing people who matter to them. It's been a government of the few, by the few, and for the few. And no community has been more invisible to this administration than the LGBT community.
I will change that. The best evidence of what I will do as President is what I have already done.
* I am proud of my record as First Lady, as a U.S. Senator and as a candidate for President in working toward the fair and equal treatment of LGBT Americans.
* I am proud that as Chair of the Senate Democratic Steering and Outreach Committee in 2006, I worked closely with LBGT community to develop a smart strategy that defeated the Federal Marriage Amendment. I am proud of fighting the FMA as divisive wedge politics at its worst.
* I am proud to be a co-sponsor of the Employment Non-Discrimination Act, the Matthew Shepard Local Law Enforcement Hate Crimes Prevention Act, and the Domestic Partnership Benefits and Obligation Act which would grant the same benefits (including health insurance) to domestic partners of federal employees that are currently offered to employees’ legal spouses.
* I am proud to have authored the Early Treatment for HIV Act, which expands access to vital treatment options for low-income individuals living with HIV, and fought to fully fund the Ryan White CARE Act.
* I am proud that I hired a National Director of LGBT Outreach within a month of announcing my candidacy for President and to have openly gay and lesbian staffers serving at all levels of my campaign.
* I am proud to have a National LGBT Steering Committee of over 130 that includes openly LGBT elected officials, Board members and opinion leaders on issues ranging from transgender rights, to HIV/AIDS, to “Don’t Ask Don’t Tell”.
* I am proud to have marched in Gay Pride parades as both First Lady and as Senator and to have spoken in front of so many LGBT audiences ranging from the Human Rights Campaign, Empire State Pride Agenda, the Hetrick Martin Institute, PFLAG (Parents, Families, and Friends of Lesbians and Gays), GMHC (Gay Men’s Health Crisis), and the American Foundation for AIDS Research.
* I am proud to have fought Republican efforts to demonize and marginalize the LGBT community, and I will continue to do that as President.
We have so much work to do. When I am President, we will work together to make sure that all Americans in committed relationships have equal benefits and that nothing stands in the way of loving couples who want to adopt children in need. We're going to expand our federal hate crimes legislation and pass the Employment Non-Discrimination Act and assure that they are both fully inclusive of all people. And finally, we will put an end to the failed policy of Don't Ask, Don't Tell. Courage, honor, patriotism and sacrifice – the traits that define our men and women in uniform – have nothing to do with sexual orientation.
My father was a conservative Republican, who held very traditional views for much of his life. Yet in his last years, it was a gay couple who lived next door who provided much of the compassion and comfort he and my mother needed as he grew ill. And it was that same neighbor who held his hand as he died. If my father can move, America can move.
To each and every LGBT American, I say this. You have done so much to help this country understand your lives by simply being open and honest about who you are and living your lives with dignity. Thank you for your courage. It is time that we recognize your hard work. I know that this country is ready for changes in the law that reflect the evolution in our hearts.
America deserves a President who appeals to the best in each of us, not the worst; a President who values and respects all Americans and treats all Americans equally no matter who they are or who they love. I want to be that President. I want to be your President.

Paris Hilton Is A LESBIAN!
Paris Hilton is a Lesbian, or at least she might be when she appears on the L Word this season.
She talked about it in the most recent interview with Parade magazine. " It’s true. I have no idea what kind of character I’ll be playing, but it’s a good show."
Well, I guess that explains why she's been hanging out with L crowd these last few weeks. She's been researching how the ladies do it. Wonder how long for the release of the sex tape "One Night In Lesbos!"

Lesbian Movie Update - Caramel
On the surface, the premise of Caramel is nothing new: the lives of five female friends centered around the local beauty salon, this time set in Beirut, Lebanon. Writer-director-star Nadine Labaki manages to render the material fresh, however, by exploring the juxtaposition of modern Western behavior within traditional Middle Eastern society. Each woman in the film is making her way through a life filled with contradictions, desire often taking a backseat to duty — particularly in the case of tomboy Rima, who falls for another woman.

Margaret Cho Won't Cross Picket Line For Ellen
Margaret Cho posted on her blog a kind and honest statement on why she will not be appearing with her friend Ellen during the writers strike.
This was a very difficult decision to make. I absolutely love Ellen, for a million reasons and for a very long time, but because of the way that I was raised, because my political views are they way they are, because I believe that workers should have the power and the ability to make their lives better, because many of my close friends are the ones picketing, I cannot cross the picket line.
"The power of visibility can never be underestimated. For this, [Ellen] will always be my hero. She gave us the ultimate gift, herself, her true self, and with that gift, she made us all proud to be who we are. That is why when she asked me to do her show I was absolutely thrilled. I love her show! Especially the dancing!!! But with the writers on strike, I am unable to do it.
This was hard for me because I had to question what was more important to me -- my queer allegiance to Ellen, or my dedication to the writers and their families and all the people who have been sacrificing so much to the strike. The reason Ellen hasn't stopped production is because she refuses to put the 135 people who are employed on her show out of work, which is completely admirable and frankly heroic, considering all the flak she has gotten from the media. I apologize to Ellen and I hope that she understands my decision, and that when the strike is over, I will be able to do the show again. It has been a dream of mine for quite a while now, and I hope someday it will come true."
