Oscar Apologizes To Whoppi

Whoopi Goldberg's omission from an Oscar montage was "an absolute oversight," the award show's producer tells People Magazine.

"No harm was intended, and I feel very, very badly that she was left out," Gil Cates said Tuesday.

Although described as a montage of hosts, the piece shown at Sunday night's telecast on ABC was actually "supposed to be a montage of 80 exciting moments of the Academy Awards" culled from hundreds of hours of footage, says Cates. "Basically, that was not a montage about hosts."

He noted that former host Steve Martin also wasn't in the montage.

Bisexual Whoopi Goldberg started her first day on the View Tuesday and is already pissing people off.

Goldberg commented Michael Vick's dog fighting crimes by stating that there are things that are "indicative to certain parts of our country".

After PETA President Michelle Cho gave her a e-mail lashing "I think a lot of people who live and work in the South -- as PETA does -- will not appreciate the "view" that cruelty to dogs is an accepted Southern pastime. Animals are as vulnerable to abuse as children are, and they need your voice more than Vick does right now."

Today Whoopi updated her statement saying she was "not condoning" Vick's actions.

Also Barbara Walters announced on that they would be announcing a second new co-host on Monday (September 10th). Sherri Shepard please, we like Sherri Shepard!

The fifth host has yet to be announced.

Now the only question is will Whoopi represent or kiss ass?

Well it is official Whoopi is taking over the lead seat on The View.

Former View co-host Rosie O’Donnell told The Insider “Whoopi is fantastic in every way and perfect for the job. She’s amazing and one of my favorites.”

"I loved working with Whoopi Goldberg," Hasselbeck told People magazine. "She is soulful, has a world of experience to bring to the table, and I don't sense any sort of political agenda."

It's being reported that The View on ABC will announce the new co hosts for the show this week and that they are Whoopi Goldberg and Sherri Sheppard.

Whoopi is openly bisexual, well she said she was at the 2002 LGBT Pride Awards, but has never really mentioned it since. But I’m going to count it anyway, just cause I can.
