Sex In The City Lesbian Wedding?

Cynthia Nixon might be planning her to a lesbian wedding:

The Enquirer is reporting that the Sex and the City star, 42, underwent surgery and six-and-a-half weeks of daily radiation treatment after she was diagnosed with cancer in 2006 - and the experience has prompted lesbian Nixon's desire to cement her union to Marinoni with an official declaration of the couple's commitment to one another.

Sex In The City star Cynthia Nixon has started talking more openly to the press about her lesbian life. Now if she could just talk more openly about her love of the Butches....yummy!!

It’s funny, when I announced and said, “Yes I’m dating a woman,” it freaked people out a lot. I think people have a hard time separating us from our characters. So people were like, “Miranda is GAY!???” And there were all these crazy things I would read in the paper, like “…but Miranda kissed a girl and she didn’t like it. And Samantha’ s had a lesbian lover, shouldn’t she be the one?”

And another freaky thing was because our characters are seen as so iconic, it was also viewed as maybe like, “Hmmm, is this is a trend?” Like, maybe this is what happens to these women, who are out there and date a lot of men. Eventually they start dating women, that what happens. This is where Sex and the City takes you! Miranda dated too many men and, well, whatta you know?

“I’m in a fantastic relationship. It’s been about four years, I’m in love with [Christine] because she’s her. If she were a man, would I be in love with her? I don’t know. We shop and cook and raise children - we both pitch in.”…Nixon says her children adapted well to the new arrangement. “They were fine,” she says of the coming out. “My son was very little [when it happened], but my daughter has a gay uncle [and her godmothers] are lesbians.”

Cynthia Nixon is taking time out from filming the Sex & The City movie to teach her kids her kids Samantha, 11, and Charles, 4 about giving back. Nixon talked to PEOPLE this week at the launch of the Curél Lends a Helping Hand Campaign, which auctioned off celebrity hand prints to raise money for the American Red Cross.

"My children are being raised Jewish, so last year we all had a meeting with a rabbi, who said it's good to let your children know what their parents values are," said Nixon, 41.

Her focus? "I'm a very big public school advocate. I try to bring public awareness to increase funding. My kids go to public school. I grew up here [in New York], went to public school, got a great education. It wasn't a tough decision."

Nixon who is bisexual has been dating education activist Christine Marinoni since 2004.
