Do You Wanna Know...."How gay is the WNBA?"
During a recent interview comedian Vickie Shaw asked WNBA superstar Sheryl Swoopes "How gay is the WNBA?""It’s no gayer than the NFL or the NBA, It’s a very interesting question, because obviously, it’s a huge stereotype that all the women are gay." Swoopes pointed out that there are "lots of moms in the WNBA who have boyfriends, some of them are married." And, she added, there are "some who got married and then realized that they liked women" Swoopes acknowledged that "there are a lot of women in the WNBA who have [female] partners and have had partners for a while and feel very comfortable with that."
But Swoopes believes they don’t come out publicly because they don’t think they’ll be supported by the league. But her message to the black gay community is this: "Don’t be afraid." For so many years, Swoopes said she and Scott put the happiness of those around them - friends, family, teammates - before their own. "And we went to bed miserable, woke up miserable and [I] lived my everyday life just miserable because I was doing what everybody else wanted me to do."

Queen Latifah & Her People
Queen Latifah is on the cover of People magazine this week.People magazine says the singer-actress opens up about losing her brother, going under the knife and being a "bodylicious"
While she talked openly about her private life, when asked if she was currently in a relationship, the Queen simply answered with a “no comment.”
Latifah goes on to say, “My private life is my private life. Whomever I might be with, I don’t feel the need to share it. I don’t think I ever will.”

"Sin City" director Robert Rodriguez was set to direct Universal Studios's remake of Barbarella. But once Rodriguez annouced that his fiancee, Rose McGowan would star the studio pulled the plug. For once Hollywood makes the right decision. Leave the classics ALONE!

Margaret Cho Taking Over The World!
The edge did a great interview with Margaret ChoTony Phillips: I know, now speaking of bad dogs, you’re bringing a little burlesque energy to New York and I have to tell you, we really need it now. It’s sorely lacking.
Margaret Cho: It’s exciting, I can’t wait to get there.
Tony Phillips: I’m excited by your lineup. The burlesque scene in New York is always so the usual suspects, but there are people on your bill I’ve never even heard of. Is this a West Coast joint?
Margaret Cho: It’s new, it’s different and it’s a lot of wild stuff. So I’m really excited. It’s not just burlesque, there’s a lot of comedy and music and dancing. I’m doing a lot of burlesque dancing and we designed the sets just like the Open Your Heart video.
Tony Phillips: That’s fantastic. So how did you find your cast?
Margaret Cho: Most of the people I’ve worked with before on other projects, and also on this show. I mean we’ve been doing this show for over a year now so it’s just about finding those people that I really connect with and getting it together. And so it was like a year of looking at different people and working with different people and now this group is perfect.
Also Cho, has already announced a two-week extension of her hit show, The Sensuous Woman, since ticket sales has resulted in the show being extended through November 3rd. Created by and starring comedian Margaret Cho, The Sensuous Woman is a raucous, outrageous and funny night of comedy, music and dance that celebrates the female body and features a supporting cast of renowned burlesque stars and established and emerging comedians.

Rosie had a show of her 27 paintings at New York’s New World Stages. Lots of stars on the guest list including Susan Powter, Cyndi Lauper, Charles Busch, Margaret Cho and former View colleague Joy Behar.
Beverley D Mac Keen, New World Stages' Executive Director, explains, "To me, her work, her compositions and materials, explore so many levels simultaneously: she balances anger and inspiration, hope and hurt, isolation and inclusion to ultimately poise on the wonderful point of solace."
