In Glenn Kessler's new book The Confidante: Condoleezza Rice and the Creation of the Bush Legacy, Kessler makes some interesting revelations about Condoleezza and her personal life. Rice owns a home together and a line of credit with long time friend Randy Bean a documentary filmmaker (aka lesbian).

Bean explained the joint ownership and line of credit to Kessler by saying she had medical bills which left her financially drained and Rice helped her by co-purchasing the house along with a third person, Coit Blacker, a Stanford professor who is openly gay. Blacker later sold his line of credit to Rice and Bean.

Other reasons Rice is gay. Rice has never married and a handful of dates with eligible men organized by well-meaning friends have led nowhere romantically. Rice has said that her dream job is commissioner of the National Football League. Sure she's not gay.

And yes I am fighting hard not to make a Rice and Beans joke!

Rosie Talks About Her Self-Destructive Past

Rosie's upcoming memoir, Celebrity Detox due out Oct. 9th reveals some unknown truths about the star.

Rosie is would fracture her own limbs with a baseball bat or a wooden hanger. Choosing what to break she'd go for her hands and fingers usually. The motivation for the self-destructive acts were that O'donnell needed proof that she had some value, enough to be fixed. She also mentioned that there were many benefits to having a cast, in the middle of the night, it was a weapon. It is not mentioned in the book why she would need a weapon in the middle of the night.

She is also surprisingly kind to Elisabeth Hasselbeck, at least kinder then I would be. "Elisabeth, antiabortion, pro Bush, pro war, believes in everything I don't, and I believe in everything she doesn't," O'Donnell writes. "She's as slender as I am fat, as restrained as I am vociferous, as polite as I am frank. ... Right from the start ... I could see something fierce, a fist in the frill, and I liked that."

Majority Supports Gay Job Protections

Nearly two-thirds of all American adults believe it is unfair that federal law currently allows for an employer to fire someone because they are gay or lesbian according to a new poll.

The survey also found that almost as many people were not even aware that federal law does not provide protections for employees on the basis of sexual orientation.

Although most states provide job protections in 31 states, it's still legal to fire someone because they're gay; in 39 states it is legal to fire someone for being transgender.

The poll was conducted online by Harris Interactive in conjunction with Witeck-Combs for Out & Equal, a San Francisco-based national LGBT group that advocates for equitable workplaces.

Its release comes as Congress considers the Federal Employment Non-Discrimination Act.
The bill was introduced in Congress in April. If passed and signed by the president it be illegal to fire, refuse to hire or refuse to promote an employee based on the person’s sexual orientation or gender identity.

So what's the problem? Give me my damn civil rights already!

Rosie O'Donnell's next project, a memoir about the trials and tribulations of a reluctant TV personality called Celebrity Detox (due in stores on Oct. 2) is already causing drama.

Goldberg commented Michael Vick's dog fighting crimes by stating that there are things that are "indicative to certain parts of our country".

After PETA President Michelle Cho gave her a e-mail lashing "I think a lot of people who live and work in the South -- as PETA does -- will not appreciate the "view" that cruelty to dogs is an accepted Southern pastime. Animals are as vulnerable to abuse as children are, and they need your voice more than Vick does right now."

Today Whoopi updated her statement saying she was "not condoning" Vick's actions.
